Rachel Lyons (she/her) is a daughter, sister, spouse, and proud aunt. She was most recently the Co-Executive Director at Chicago Community Bond Fund, where she led the organization and supported staff through the implementation of the Pretrial Fairness Act and the end of money bond in Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Community Jail Support mutual aid group and has done rapid response jail support connected to protests and uprisings since 2016. Rachel's background includes community organizing, anti-racism work, youth and young adult social justice formation, and nonprofit leadership. Rachel holds a BA in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and an MA in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago.
Rachel oversees AFIRE’s staffing and programming, working to ensure our infrastructure is in alignment with our mission and values.
